Member of the Technology Adoption team, which transfers research into Toyota production. Working with the mobile manipulation team on an API to control a warehouse robot. Developed monocular depth estimation applications and designed a hardware and software developer kit for a soft-bubble sensor used in robotics research.
Lead Software Engineer
Lead engineer on Target’s Strategy & Innovation team. Managed engineering for Target’s experiential retail lab store in San Francisco, led development of Target’s voice action for the Google Assistant, and handled data engineering for auto-replenishment of household goods. Also built tools for machine learning projects, including annotation, sentiment analysis, and synthetic data generation.

Originator, Software and Curriculum Lead
Hands-on robotics workshops for two community groups: Hope Horizon in East Palo Alto and Compass Mentorship in Alviso. Built around HolaBot, our custom robot kit that students program with Blockly’s visual blocks, test in simulation, and load onto the robot over USB. Originated the kit, enlisted volunteers to assemble the kits, and wrote the curriculum and workshop software. Students build first, then code.

An educational blog and art project tracing more than 100 years of AI milestones, shown here as a decade-by-decade exhibit.
A kinetic sculpture of clicking electromechanical relays mounted in a brain-shaped frame, echoing Shannon’s Theseus (1950) and Minsky’s SNARC (1951). The clicking accelerates from a slow 1950s cadence into a frantic blur, and each cycle lands on a random AGI-arrival year drawn from real predictions.
A robotic sculpture built from a recycled bike fork and reclaimed actuator arms, examining the language of machines: humor, nudges, flattery, and the soft mechanics of persuasion.
Conceived this collaborative kitsune piñata, built by TRI’s Hola ERG for the institute’s 10th anniversary — fusing the Mexican piñata tradition with Japanese kitsune folklore.
